It is small and has a handle and cutouts on the side. It has a little chamber on top to fill that gets heated by the flame. Copper and brass.. what is this?? I'm stumped. Has a French mark "Depose" and a signature but I can't read it.

I think perhaps it used to have a coffee pot or other food or drink container that sat on it and it heated it. Something similar to the pic in this link: https://www.google.com/search?biw=1680&bih=917&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=vintage+depose+copper+food+warmer&oq=...:
