What is this thing? Is it made of bone? Some sort of clip or tongs?

It measures about 6 1/2", and opens when you push the two ends together. Found it in a box that mostly had old doll clothes/a few toys. Thanks!

It's a bone hair curler.

It is a glove stretcher and there should be a little metal circle/loop that slips over the handle end to hold it open when inside the glove.
