Please Identify This Object- Cast Iron Tool??

I have this item here, it looks like some sort of a tool. It is cast iron. Does anyone know what it was used for? Thank you for your help!!

I can't say for sure, but it looks to me like a trowel for smoothing out and indenting the mortar in between bricks.
