Hello,
Can anyone help me with this square footed metal basket? It is gorgeous IMHO - Bridal? What are the flowers? I'm thinking daffodils and or sunflowers? It was made in Japan (etched out by someone) and it has no number but "PAT" in the bottom center. Looking for age/era any other thing you might see that I don't. The square shape is unusual - see lots of round shaped baskets. The footing is also square and the piece is rounded at the corners/scalloped rim (right term?)
I have no idea what type of metal it is, maybe brass?
It is heavy for a small basket- weighing almost 1-1/2 pounds
Dimensions: 5” wide, 4” deep and 4” tall at the rim. Cool handle
Thanks for any/all help you can provide.

You might take a look at Echinacea or coneflowers which is prairie flower in the US.
Good luck
