Not sure if this is the original set. Not sure if it is porcelain or ceramic. Could not locate markings on the bottom either. If anyone has a clue would be most helpful.

porcelain is a type of ceramic. I assume you mean porcelain or pottery? either way one cannot tell from just the picture you posted.

I looked several times at it and thought it might be ... neither. but artificial stone, start to mid 1900s. from the kitsch figures I think Germany. definitely needs bottom pics.

1940's through 1960's mass produced Bisque or semi porcelain living room set that would have been sold in a furniture showroom along with semi ornate couches and solid wood coffee tables.High 50's fancy that went with plastic covered fabric couches. Also might have included similar wall art, an easy chair and a television console in that room. Most likely made in Japan in the late 50's or early 60's. Middle America look for the masses. Two lamps would be used on side tables flanking a very long couch with a heavy weave wool like fabric and the center Lamp on a solid wood couch table behind the couch. Doileys like you have would have been used. You would see this look at the " Cleavers" or on father Knows best.
