Hello! I have been trying to research a maker's mark and have been unsuccessful. Please see earring photo. Earring has two faux pearls and on the screw back portion is stamped: 1/20-12K G. F. with a capital letter "H" inside a diamond shape. I can't for the life of me identify this one...Thanks in advance. pep119

the 1/20 12k gf means gold filled so it is not all gold.
I do not recognize the diamond H, however there were many costume jewelry companies using the H in a diamond but the orientation of the diamond was vertical.

It is 1 20th of 12 karat gold and the GF confirms that it is low grade gold because it stands for gold (G) Filled. (F)The H is probably the makers mark.
Also HGE stands for something gold electroplated. Most gold filled items are 1/20 12k gold filled but sometimes it's 1/20 14k 18k ect...

Thanks for your response. I am aware of the markings for the gold filled, it's just the "H" that I'm having trouble with, but appreciate your time to respond, pep119
