I'm going through jewelry from my mothers estate (which I've been doing for years now-she was quite a collector) and I keep avoiding these because I dont know what they are. They each have a clip on the back, but they are bigger than what I've seen of SHOE CLIPS listed here.

It seems the Green one is glass (rhinestone???)

and the other two are Bakelite..?

I'd appreciate any insight to these items before I list them!

These clips are more than likely dress clips, designed to be worn in the "V" of a dress neckline.

The coral colored flowers have the appearance of celluloid, imo.

The light green piece could be bakelite, you could google for suggested tests to determine bakelite.

They are called Dress Clips. The big ones as you are showing were usually in the center of a V cut dress to draw attention to the breasts ( those Husseys!! ) Some could be found on coats & jackets. The small ones thet are usually found in exact pairs were clipped to straps of dresses,some in arrangement with silk scarfs around the face. Or just to clip something to the side of the garment. You are missing two Roses on the one pin so it will look out of balance, easy remedy take the top left one off and glue it to the very bottom which is missing . Finding the missing roses might be a problem. Nice catch,they are beautiful.

Per coats and jackets not to be confused with coat pins ,a different back al together.

I am pretty sure they are old lapel brooch/pins that attach with the clip rather than a pin.

I agree about them being 'V' neck enhancements. But most of all WOW what beautiful pictures!!!!
Wish all eBay sellers would take note.
