Can anyone please help me to identify this necklace? Any help is appreciated

I found this very interesting necklace, but i have no idea what style it is or if it is old or new. Can anyone help me to identify it? it is very fluid and if you can believe this has a somewhat soft feel to it.

Is there a clasp? Need a picture of both sides of the clasp if it has one.

There is actually no clasp at all, just a continuous loop, and the design looks exactly the same on both sides except for that the jeweled parts are only on one side.

None of this is definitive, but there are some suggestive features.

Bezel-set 'gems' became very populalr in the 80s, though they continue to often be a design feature.

Without a silver or other stamp, it is most likely to be costume jewellery, nickel silver, perhaps lightly silverplated.

The absence of a clasp also makes me think it is quite a recent piece (80s+), as does the overall style, clean, handsome (as opposed to pretty)
