a comment and a question

hola :) i'm very new at the group thing soooo my comment is, thank you all so much ! i've read thru tons of posts and learned so much. i've been inspired and encouraged. you guys helped me find a free site ( ozarkgypsyart.tripod.com still under construction) to set up so i don't have to hand out 4 foot long business cards. and so much more. anyway, thank you for having this group and for having us all here :) now, the question. i have trouble pricing my things, i've always had that trouble. i see what similar things sell for but i could never imagine selling mine for that much. everytime i relist ebay suggests i lower the starting price but another ebay artist wrote me saying i have them priced much to low. i'm pretty good at bartering with my art, been doing it for years, but just putting a flat money price or starting bid is beyond me lol thanks again and muco blessings :) juli

Okay so now I sold a card the other day and the buyer still has not posted payment , but what is more concerning is that I looked back to see their history and bidding , and they have been a member since 03 and have not bid or sold one thing, so that seems odd, i have already sent invoice , and an email a couple days latter to follow up . Any suggestions on how I should handle this is welcome .

Maybe they are mailing payment. You could always email them and ask.. just letting them know that you want to be sure you watch for the payment IF it is coming in the mail. imo, it's always better to be careful because this personal could turn into a regular for you so patience is always a good rule. If they haven't done anything in a week then get worried.

sometimes, you have to fill out a non payment form...it sucks, i have only had to do it twice (so far) only once for my art... But both times, it seemed to be enough of a kick in the pants to motivate them to pay. Then i always put these non payers on my blocked bidder list~ i dont need their $ for the hassel, you know?

Thank you , I will have patience , i list only pay pal payments, but never know if they read the instructions , so I will just keep and eye out in the mail as well . Could be just that since they have never bid on anything , they don't know how to pay . The time period peeked my curiosity ... 3 years and no bidding history HMMMMMM. Sue B

I have had those too.. and they did okay. I also have people who go ahead and bid and win but don't get paid for a few days. Not ever over a week though..

ken, i think i understand the competition part. that whether we intend to or not we still compete in selling. with that in mind, that i'm hurting the sales of others, i will be trying to price more accordingly in the future. thanks for that :) juli
