Question

Why do some threads have the previous pages listed at the bottom of the thread and some threads don't? Shouldn't they all have the previous pages listed? How could you research previous posts for useful information without the previous pages numbers to click on? Sorry, that was more than one question. Sandra

It seems you can only go back when a thread has sufficient entries for 2 or more pages. What a stupid system!

For databases I have worked on there has been a default setting that "if" (whatever the if parameter is like "blank") then do or don't do something. Confused? Yeah I thought you might be ...hehehe What I am trying to say is that if the number of posts in a thread do not require a second page then the number of pages is not required. Thus there would be an if statement that would say something like "if only one page then don't show number of pages". Saves a whole LINE of space. And then they spoil that by creating Avatars that waste space. Go figure!!!!! Regards, Belinda 🙂

If you click on 'my content' and go into 'preferences' you can set the # of posts per page display, the order of the posts (ascending/descending) and that should help with scrolling,number of pages listed, etc. -- @->ROSE<-@

Good Grief, I can't even remember where I posted this info last! Supposedly the last viewed is working now. If you reset your view order to "oldest first" it will take you back to where you left off. It does appear that when I revisit a thread, I pick up where I left off. I changed my preferences to 10 posts per page, which helps get the previous posts back, but I can't see previous posts if I revisit a thread that has less than 10 posts in it. Sandra

Well, maybe it's taking me to the next unviewed post then. I clicked on this thread after going to another group and was shown posts 9 and 10. I went away and came back and it showed me just number 10. The events calendar says there are 10 events in it, but when I clicked on the current calendar, I didn't see any events at all. Sandra

You have to have about 11 posts to be able to view. So what you have to do is create posts with 'bump' or something in them until you get enough for them to show. Yup ... it's a pain. Post more, to see less. Once you've done those extra posts, you can see them. B-) I second the motion!!! Avatars are just not vital to good input and output. Maybe they should let them show for about 2-3 seconds and then only if you click on the id. and open the posting message area up for larger type and reduce the space message breaks and make that small type - like real small type, like real small type. Also, check the sign in program please. I am so tired of having to sign in 5 or 6 times even to make a post. I have to copy my post before posting to make sure I can post. Sherrie, if you get the sign-in box when you're trying to post, hit the back button and try again. So far this has worked for me every time. It's not how it's supposed to work, but until they fix the problem, it's a way to "cheat" the glitch.

Yes, not being able to view old contents to event calendar is a 'glitch'. I am also sure we don't have 4,157 photo galleries as stated. View last post viewed still does not work.
