SUGGESTION: How about a community metric?

Currently, there are critically important metrics assigned by the buyers to sellers, and sellers to buyers, based upon the experience of each as it relates to each transaction.  It is one of the main things that causes the entire platform to operate at all.  Without some sort of metric that a buyer and seller can clearly see and judge for themselves, how could one possibly KNOW that entering into a monetary transaction, without an escrow present, would not end in disaster every time?  Consequently, the use of the experience metrics is critical to the functioning of the deals when you have NO OTHER WAY of determining the potential for trusting the other party.

 

Well, in the same way Cities have, and support professional sports teams (wildly in many cases, Go Wrexham, right?), I'm wondering if it wouldn't be useful, and interesting, to have City-wide metric tabulation for buyers and sellers. 

 

In the USA, and I assume in other Western cities, there are OFTEN friendly competitions for Best Food, Best Entertainment, Best Quality of Life, Best this... Best that... and the Best Other Thing...  Wouldn't it be an extra incentive, to be (as a seller in a City, or a buyer) a part of the "Team" that is trying to raise their city's Best Experience metric to the top score!

 

Maybe as a buyer, to be a part of YOUR City's "Team", that makes the most per capita purchases?  OR, the highest rated Sellers?  OR, the best of ANY of the metrics currently being collected?

 

Maybe think of yourself as "Team Texas"?  Or "Team Idaho"?  Or "Team Georgia"?  etc, etc, etc...  ALL WORKING TOGETHER... to raise your City's score, or your State's score.  AND... at the end of the year, the Winners get A) Bragging rights!  B) Maybe a reward of some kind.  C) A year to bask in the glory of your team's success.

 

And, a chance to be something a little bit larger than JUST your own account....
