Kelly, I just wanted to pass this on to you since the thread "Can't stop the emails" has been locked. I'm posting this on the board because it's too long to send through ebay's contact system (it has a character limit). Feel free to delete it once you've read it. I don't mean to take up unnecessary board space, but not having your email address, I didn't know of another way to send the whole message.
Some of the complaints you may have been hearing about is a new glitch - one that emerged after the boards went down for ebay's latest round of improvements. It seems to be affecting only a handful of people. Those of us who have this glitch are unable to unsubscribe, because the preference is either missing or not functional (in my case, non-functional).
Oddly enough, this is only affecting my main ID, but not my art ID. Prior to this latest glitch, I had a problem on my poozybear ID of being subscribed to threads against my will, but I could always unsubscribe through the methods you mentioned. With this new glitch, there is NO WAY to unsubscribe. I know that Debcoart has also been experiencing this glitch. A few people have also posted about it over at the other ACEO group. I've only heard of maybe 5-6 people so far with the problem.
Anyway, the only way I could stop the emails was to leave all of my groups with that ID. Fortunately I have a second, properly functioning ID, but others are just stuck with this mess. Just thought I'd pass this along in case you hear of it again. Some of us are being forced into subscriptions that we never signed up for with no way out! It's a lousy deal. Since it seems to be affecting only a small number of people, I don't think it will ever get fixed. Just an FYI. One more ebay fugg-up. ;)
