Help for our new look

I know I am confused with this new look and the changes. If anyone needs some help feel free to ask in here and together we all might be able to help each other.

Yep, trying to find my way around now. What a shocker to come in here today and boom!

One thing that really helped me to restore things to a more familiar feel was to change the default setting of only four threads on the page. If you go into your preferences area, you can change it to 24, which makes the board look pretty much like it used to.

Just goofing around in another group where I'm a mod ... it looks like we can still tack topics, same way as before. At least that hasn't changed. The reply window is acting wonky for me though. It keeps bouncing around.

Oh thanks...Changing it to 24 as your suggested really helped.  Got the "old" feel back to it a bit.  Change is always hard, but like everything else, we'll get used to this eventually 🙂

It looks like they're still working on it. Yesterday I had the little buttons next to threads to indicate which ones had been updated, and I'm not seeing them today. They must be tweaking things here and there, hopefully working out some of the bugs.

I have noticed that the avatars on the first page do not have id's on them, but in my other groups they do. I think they have a lot of tweaking to do. I have also noticed that it no longer checks your spelling as you go, instead you have to check it after you are though. Just lots of weird little things. Still wish I could figure out why there is an attachment button but it doesn't work.

The attachment thing seems to be working for some, but not for others. It's working for me, and Oz was able to use it to upload her art, but it's not working for you or Sue. I wonder if there are browser issues. I'm using Firefox, and it's working really well.

I also noticed the thing with the names not showing under avatars. I was just in another group, and that feature was working fine. It seems to only be happening here.

I tried the attachment thing in here and in a couple of other groups, but nothing:( I don't know when they are gonna get the bugs worked out        but I wish it was soon.

Do you have access to another browser that you could try? I'm just curious if that has anything to do with it.

My biggest "bug" is that the reply window jumps when I click on it. It starts out a plain white box, then it jumps, and the icons appear. I have to wait a few seconds for it to setle out before typing. X-(

edit: okay I got it to show but what is with the "you don't have permission to create attachments?" weird!

Okay, I can't get my avatar to show. What's up with that? Anyone else have this problem?

You're welcome, though I can't take credit for it. Someone else discovered that ahead of me.

To fix your avatar, you'll have to re-upload the one you were using. It looks like everything reset to 2009. Very weird. If you can find the avatar that you were most recently using, you can upload it in the Preferences area. It's the very first option, "My Photo."

Grrrr...I miss the automated spell chack. All of my posts have boo boos in them.

my post reply flashes with the old form first then the new one. I miss the spell check too, cause I make lots of mistakes and don't see them till I post. I noticed we can not tack a topic but it looks like we can still lock them. That's a bit odd. In different groups things can look different too, it's not consistent.

All of a sudden I can add attachments, well at least I can in another group so lets see if I can in here. This is a picture I took today of the MO River as it gets ready to leave it's banks and flood. It has flooded some areas already but they are saying by the end of the week it will be out of it's banks and might breech the levys.
