Beautiful animals and critters 🙂
I have a tremendous offer listed to raise funds for some things I need. Not only an ACEO, but two different sets of custom oil paintings.
One set includes an ACEO, 5"x7", and an 8"x10" set of custom oil paintings. YOUR choice of subject - my interpretation and artistic freedom 😉

I spent the morning sitting in my garden which inspired me to do this:

All of these are wonderful!!! Purplehorse I love your imaginative fantasy!
Audrey...if your real garden is as pretty as the painting, I wish I lived there!
Oz...your whimsy makes me smile!
Well...I have listed a few new ones. After seeing all of your beautiful works, I shiver to share, though!

Nice work everyone. Audrey if that was your train station you should have started at a higher price. It looked to me you had a lot of work in that piece besides it being very well done. (Sorry)

Nancy: Thank you for all your comments. It is difficult to choose a starting price for a listing. I figure that its value will be determined by two or more bidders. Also, I don't want to be the largest collector of my artwork. I want it in the hands of people around the world who appreciate it. I'll paint another one today, and another tomorrow, and I'll learn something new every day.
If you read my current blog:
https://elainevernon.wordpress.com/ you'll see that at Art Basel one year a single canvas 40 x 50 cm, painted grey, was offered for 40,000 euro! A stack of plywood was considered a work of art! This is art for the ultra rich (or money laundering). I've been to a lumber yard and found a stack of plywood more valuable when its been nailed to the frame of my house.
I have a couple of new listings. I am on a kick of bald headed, alien type creatures. While I paint I listen to audio books that I download for free from Librivox, and the stories influence my subject matter as in the case of my florals while listening to The Secret Garden. These aliens must have come from the radio program Coast to Coast.

WOW! This is a neat feature - just adding images right to your post! ....sorry...was overwhelmed for a second...
I should have first said HELLO! 🙂 Some of you I haven't seen in a while. It seems I hit up Ebay in sporatic phases. Now that their listing fees seem more reasonable I thought I would check it out, see how things are going. So....how are things going?? lol!
This is my first ACEO offering in quite a while. Her name is Tiger-Lily and you can see her here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/140769440133?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649#ht_600wt_10...
I hope everyone has been well! 🙂
Maigan! 🙂

Audrey I love your bald headed alien type people : ) I have always struggled with listing prices as well, and use to list everything for at least 7.99 and up. It got to where I was only selling 1 or 2 after a lot of relists, and then they usually went for a single bid. I had been observing another artist who listed several pieces a day for meer pennies!! Sometimes a penny, sometimes .48, or .99. I noticed he sold almost everything he put out there with multiple bids, and he had built quite a loyal following (including me!)
I decided to pick his brain, because I was stunned at how he could "risk" letting them go so low. To wrap up the story.. I decided to try things his way. As a result, I have become much happier creating, and have sold dozens of ACEO in the last few weeks. Yes, they go very low.. but it is a different and better feeling (to me) to know that people want them, and are able to collect them. Most go for multiple bids, and they are reaching all over the world.
I also offer free shipping. Sure, I end up paying for a stamp sometimes, but it all evens out : ) It was scary at first to let go of them for a low bid.. but now its just fun to see them go ; )

Paint is still wet on this one but I listed it yesturday. I probably should have been more patient and waited to list it until I could get a better picture, but I just am not paitent.
