Just curious.

No. The ability to offer promotions is increasing sales enough for that alone to more than make having a store worthwhile for me.
So far I have not been able to use up all the extra listings that a store has given me, but it has allowed me to expand into auctions as well, rather than just listing BIN, which has also increased my sales
The shipping supplies coupon saves me a little in packing tape too, and I get through a tonne of that wrapping up my more delicate products. It may not make a huge difference, but every little helps.

Promotions are not available to all TRS sellers. Only available for multi-quantity listings. That leaves out a lot of people who sell unique/one of a kind items. Benefit to them...zero, zip, nada.

No.
My margins can handle a 0.15% FVF increase and I never counted the TRSP discount in my calculations. It has been used as an added Reserve for my supplies and inventory fund. Good to have, not nice to lose ... but it won't kill me 🙂
I have 800+ listings, mostly GTC .. I'm not about to start paying (full) insertion fees for them every month or to pay 10% FVF.

Too much for me.
While I understand the upset over the 50% reduction on the TRS Plus FVF discount, for small sellers this isn't a lot of money being lost. This is really going to impact larger sellers, not the little guys.
For every $1000 in sales you will see an increase of 1.50 in FVFs. And you will lose $8.85 in TRS Plus discount. So for every $1000 worth of sales you will see an increase of $10.85.
Certainly if the loss of this is too much for you to handle, then of course you must do what you need to do to survive.
For me, I will relax a bit on my policies, which will in turn relax me a bit. I will not continue having policies to adhere to the TRS Plus rules because the discount would no longer be worth it to me. Not for all the extra work caused by the rules. I will put my return policy back to 14 days and change my handling time to 2 or maybe 3 days. I will still qualify for TRS, just not the TRS Plus.
This is just my opinion, but I think some are reacting harshly to the fee changes without really running the numbers to see how much it really affects your bottom line. Like I said, it is the larger sellers that are really going to feel this change, not us small sellers.

I'd rather sit back quitely, have a good long think, and then see how I can make it work for me.
For me it's not a knee-jerk reaction. It's a logical one. You start taking $8 (+/-) per month out of my pocket that was basically offsetting the price of the store, then something's got to give. The give is the store going. Simple
My stores not up for renewal until June. Should sales stay flat then I may considering moving on. Its not a decision to make at the spur of the moment.

The last thing I would do is close it. It would be hard without my 250 free listings... 😉

I closed my store last October and to be honest it didn't hurt a bit. I just had to adjust to listing only valuable things for the 50 freebie monthly you get and then being ready to take advantage of times when eBay gives away additional free listings. I grew to have the opinion that eBays "store" concept was a JOKE. I got tired of seeing MY competition splayed across the bottom of all MY listings. It's just WRONG

Was just telling someone today that when I drop the store and go back to the 50 free listings, paying for an additional 50 listings will only cost $15. That's $10 less than I'm spending now with the month-to-month store subscription.

I am really thinking about it. I think its discrimination according to what you sell. Thats a large percent. I just opened in September.

Ebay should have sent them to you. Call Ebay... 1-866-540-3229 They sent through messages.

I think depending on what you sell should not make a difference. I call that discriminating. I have only opened 4 months. This isn't what I planned on. I do it because I am retired and the medicare plan is not for older people. So it helps there. Still thinking.

I'll probably do the same and relax my policies. I'm TRS Plus, but raising the bar on me again for half the FVF discount is a kick in the groin. It can only mean profits are down (remember they also cut eBay bucks in half late last year).
Is there a page somewhere showing benefits for TRS and TRS plus? I need to compare.
TRS is a seller status -- your dashboard status, based on your defects
TRSP is a listing status -- a listing from a TRS seller that has 30 day returns and Same Day or 1 Day handling.

I will be running the calculations to see if the ripoff ebay just announced will make the store worth it still or not, probably close in my case
15% increase in net eBay fees for music instruments is just plain criminal
over 20% increase with paypal rate changes, and i hear next year the scaling for sales volume disappears too - add another hidden increae in fees
probably I will move some sales to Reverb and dump the store.... and of course, stop supporting eBay with purchases.... they are greedy, and I vote with my wallet, their changes are always a cash grab and unfair for most sellers
remember the FVF discount was out in place to cover the application of FVF on shipping costs....
I can assure that 6.44% of the shipping cost being pocketed by eBay is not made up by the 10% fvf discount after you factor in the store cost too.....
no point........ ebay sucks

The only added benefit for to being TRS Plus is a small additional push in search returns [or so they say] and the 10% discount on FVFs.
All other TRS benefits remain available to all the sellers that meet the TRS status. Shipping rate discounts being the most important one.
