So you read it as when they say in the article specifically that there's
"no worries in 2023", that they mean the extra bookkeeping needed to
file your taxes, not the sales.
THIS is the problem - not the purposeful trying to evade taxes or
anything like that-But anyone would definitely prefer to not pay taxes
on things that are being sold that cost less than what they were bought
at, but don't have a receipt from 10, 20...

So do sellers have to maintain receipts for anything they have bought
that they might sell on eBay in the future, or provide some sort for
research on current value, as to provide a cost basis (like anything
else..stocks etc.)?
