I recently sold a mirror on Ebay and sent the item via Hermes and the Packlink service. I took meticulous care with the packing using bubble wrap and two layers of thick cardboard outer layer packing. I printed off red Fragile, Glass and Handle with Care labels. Despite my efforts the mirror arrived with a crack in it so I had to make a full refund and personally lose the original cost of sending the item. So I am now out of pocket and a damaged item fit only for the bin. Hermes are a difficult to contact and their compensation exclusion list virtually excuses them of all liability for anything. The damage could only be caused by careless mis-handling by Hermes. A word of warning to all other sellers.
