The server timed out while waiting for the browser's request.

I have been having problems for quite some time, as usual ebay told me originaly that it was a problem with my computer, then that it was a problem with my browser, and recommended that I use a different browser, so I switched to Chrome, this lasted for 24 hours, then same issue, pages were not redirecting. After speaking with ebay today, the support person told me that some other ebay users were experiencing the same problem and their tech support was working on the problem.
It seems to me that there has been one problem after another since ebay implimented the Mobile compatable directive.
This may be find for ebay uses that are internet savy, which I am not.
I have already spent money that I really can't afford ,on a tech to try and solve the problem but as the issue only appears ( for me ) to ebay related, he suggested this must be an ebay specific problem.
I can access pages on any other site, so tend to agree that this is not a browser problem.

I am having this issue for the first time. Ebay loads fine, albeit a tad slow...
Once the home screen is loaded, I click on a recent viewed tab for example or enter a search query and press the mouse or hit enter. This action would otherwise take me to the next screen, except it is not doing this. I look at the address bar and the address shows the items designated page, but the screen does not refresh and take me to said page, it simply stalls and stays on the home page.
What I found is this, when the address shows the page I want in the address bar, I hit the refresh icon (firefox) and it loads the page.
So basically if I want to navigate ebay.au, I must manually refresh each time I want to look at a new page. I have checked other countries like ebay.uk and ebay.us and they are fine, this seems to be a problem with the Australian site only for me...
I guess I will lose the current auction I am bidding on if anyone else bids.
Get your **bleep** together Ebay, Amazon is coming to Australia and you lot are the ones who are lining yourselves up for execution.

Hello, apparently this is a widespread problem for some folks. I had this happen recently. In the morning I bought an item, paid just fine. Evening, I bought another item and the Ebay Checkout page, I clicked to pay, and it went to a blank page. After a very lengthy call to Ebay with no less than four reps (who knew nothing, what a time waster), I finally got rep #4 who said try opening Ebay in Explorer, which I did, and paid for the item, just fine. So I think it is a browser problem, for some reason the Ebay (or AOL) browser doesn't work with the EBay checkout page anymore. I can go onto other sites like Amazon and others just fine. Who knows, but I think it is a browser problem. If you haven't made any changes to your computer settings, and this just starts happening, I would look at the browser. Good luck!

I keep getting the same thing when I try to list something for sale. Why use the website if the company can't fix the problem.
