Sports Card Scanning

Hi guys!

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8600 that comes with a scanner. It saves a lot of time, I have heard, to scan cards and use them as photos for ebay. I tried it and a lot of my cards have white borders and the scanner does not pick up the image of the entire card. It is very tideous to only scan one card at a time and then crop it after. Any tips on fixing this problem so I can put 8 cards at once and scan them capturing every card completely?

Yup. I do one of two things:

Scan with the cover open (will probably put a grey or black border around the card).
Tape a different color paper on the the scanner lid.
