Hope you have learned what to look for.
There are many plate varieties out there, some of the valuable, some not so valuable, but still interesting to find. Some are listed and the owners do not realize what they have.
I've found and picked up valuable plate varieties for very little money, sort of an interesting past time.
Its very funny, some of the people selling on ebay (Revenue Series Plate Varieties) list such and such plate varietiy as unlisted, this is very funny to me. As far as I know there never has been a catalog of plate varieties for the Revenue Series Stamps, Scott lists some plate varieties, one of the best listing was "The Shift Hunter Letters" which used line drawing which is superior to photos or scanned images.
