Pursuing the auctions

Glancing at various catagories in the Stamps area today, it’s amazing how many

listers have no idea of the value of the items that they have listed. I’m seeing very common stamps listed for Hundreds and sometimes Thousands of dollars. How much effort does it really take to find out the actual value of what you are listing.? People see an old stamp and get dazed by dollar signs. It doesn’t look like that any of these offers get any action. And of course, eBay won’t take the time to  counsel these listers. We here on the board tried at times , but we’re told to mind are business!

It used to be that a seller had to pay a fee based on the starting price, so it got expensive for them to do that behavior. These days they aren't charged, and who knows maybe some sucker will fall for it.
