Hi PRTers,      Two golden days

There are two golden days about which I never worry-- yesterday and Tomorrow

Those days belong to god, therefore, that leaves me only today.

Any man can fight the battles of just one day.

Oh friend,it is only when we add the burden of those two awful eternities

-Yesterday and tomorrow --that we break down.

Those are god`s days--- leave them with him.

Therefore, I will journey just one day at a time.

Carole, How old is the cacti in your yard and what color are the blooms? I have a small bed of the short ones and the blossoms are a beautiful yellow. I have yellow daylilies in the same area . They are so lovely blooming at the same time. I, too, would love to hear from all our friends on here.

Lynn, I am so happy you are going home. Please take care of yourself and let others help you. Praying you do well.

Roger, How wonderful is the statement on today, tomorrow and yesterday. I only wish I could follow the rule. I am doing much better about not dwelling on yesterday. Thank you. I appreciate you so much.

 Mr. Rick is still suffering.

I still can not hear God's voice, but I have realized that my head is very impacted into my butt.

I have allowed my self  the sin of pride. Thus I must stomp this with great effort.

I still wish my reward of death. I just have to learn that the Christian God is a verry bussy guy and will get to me when he can.

The Samaritan Woman at the Well

The woman at the well had her sins "washed away" by Jesus. The story shows that Jesus offers divine mercy in the living water of grace, which washes away sins and cleanses souls. The woman went to the well to get a jug of water. Instead, she got much more, including a cleansed and refreshed spiritual life.

Going to the well

Because of her lowly status, the Samaritan woman goes to the well during the hottest point of the day to avoid the wagging tongues of her fellow townspeople. Most other people were taking siestas at this time; nobody in his or her right mind is out in the noonday sun. The woman of Samaria knows this and seizes the opportunity to get water for her home without being bothered.

Jews didn't normally travel on a Samaritan road, but Jesus chose to walk this way anyway. He comes upon the well, where he meets the Samaritan woman and asks her for a drink of water. The woman, who understands her low social status in the eyes of a Jew, is astonished that this pious Jew requests water from her.

Experiencing renewed spirit

Jesus uses the water as a metaphor to teach this woman. He speaks about the living water, which gives eternal life, divine grace, or God's life within the soul. The woman craves this type of water, because she wants to have eternal life. But first Jesus has a lengthy but candid dialogue with her. He makes her understand that she needs to confess her sins and change her life before she can obtain this life-giving water, grace. Jesus shows her that he already knows she is living with a man who is not her husband.

Jesus said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come back." The woman answered him, "I have no husband." Jesus said to her, "You are right in saying, 'I have no husband'; for you have had five husbands, and the one you have now is not your husband. What you have said is true!"

John 4:16–18

The woman said to him, "I know that Messiah is coming" (who is called Christ). "When he comes, he will proclaim all things to us." Jesus said to her, "I am he, the one who is speaking to you."

John 4:25–26

The Samaritan woman's spirit is enlightened, accelerated, and illuminated by Jesus. She now realizes what it means to take freely of the water of life, which is the spiritual refreshment that comes into her soul after her encounter and confession with Jesus. Not only was she impressed that Jesus knew all her sins, but she was also given the opportunity to have those sins forgiven. She believes he is truly the Messiah, the Anointed One. She repents of her past misdeeds and goes back to tell her family, friends, and neighbors how she met Jesus and how he revealed his knowledge of her sins and his offer of live-giving water, which brings eternal life. She went on to lead many conversions in this area through her zeal and love for God (John 4:39–42).

The Samaritan woman doesn't appear again in scripture, but for centuries afterward, numerous spiritual writers, theologians, and scholars retold and pondered her encounter with Jesus. Augustine, for instance, uses the example of the woman at the well to describe the spiritual thirst the human heart has for goodness and truth and that thirst is never quenched until people are in the presence of God forever.

Lord,
I ask you to be with all my friends now.
I believe you will hear this prayer it is from my heart.
I have faith in you to heal my friends.
Nourish them in their time of suffering and comfort them with your presence.

Roger -- Truly, we need to concentrate on the day. Yesterday is gone. We are not promised tomorrow.

I like the saying, "Tomorrow is booked; today is a good day."

Jan -- The cactus is 14 years plus (not sure, how old). The blooms are beautiful white. The picture did not do it justice. You have some lovely blooms as well. I love God's creation!

Roy -- I enjoyed the Woman at the Well. When we ask, our sins (wrongdoings) are forgiven. When we ask, Jesus gives us His Holy Spirit to guide our lives. However, the evil one is right there seeking to trip us up.

Lynn -- Prayers for your healing.

Good afternoon everyone! 🙂

I am now home and 14 nights in the hospital was more than enough. The home care nurse came yesterday, called me today and will see me again on Tuesday. It is nice to know I have someone following my progress. As I already knew, I still have a bit of pneumonia left in the very bottom of ny right lung and it is painful when I touch there or breathe incorrectly. I think I will be seeing my doc on Thursday,

Did not realize how close I am to my music festival and still have lots to do. Ike will be bringing the 5th wheel to Melanie's on Wednesday and Melanie will get it all cleaned out. It then has to come here so I can load it all up for the festival. We leave on the 10th and will return on the 21st. I printed up all the info I needed this morning and have instruments to tune and clean. I now have my new to me dulcimer that I bought from my friend's mother and I LOVE it! It sounds beautiful and I am so happy to have it.

I am still very weak and tired and hope that this all resolves itself before my festival.

Have a beautiful day! :-x

Prayer Request Thread

Hello ya'll.

I have a very urgent prayer request. My boyfriend or x has very severe drug & alcohol problems and this week he has od on heroin last week (I didn't know he ever did that).  And then this morning he just got out of hospital for alcohol poisoning.  I changed my phone number so he couldn't call me no more and he is trying to put the guilt trip on me for doing that. He doesn't look good.

I'm crying and sleeping all the time and don't know what to do. I may go up to hospital to get something to help me w my nerves.

My spine surgeon wants me to start taking over the counter anti-inflammatory meds and start doing some exercises at home although I have to be careful with the exercises due to my other back problems.  Anyhow, looks like I won't be going to see him again anytime soon.
