Lynn - beautiful orchid!
Going to the funeral of my next door neighbor this morning (knew her for over 30 years). This afternoon, it's off to my surgeon's appointment.

Just wanted to post this pic as it looks so much like Spring. I guess Michigan is not participating in Spring this year. It was 80 last week and this week it has snowed and right now it is 43. I guess I am happy we bought that last ton of pellets, as the stoves have been fired up the last several days! It is way too cold to plant anything and frost has damaged much of the flowering trees and bushes.

Roger -- Prayers for comfort for your friend's family and friends. Prayers for your upcoming appointment.
Lynn -- Lovely gif! We are experiencing 100 degree weather. Our prayer is for cooler weather when the DD and family visit.

Update on my appointment with my surgeon: After checking my current MRI there is no need for surgery at this time since it appears that the spine is trying to fuse itself. However, I will be having an injection to treat my lower back pain problem.

Roger -- Good news! I will keep praying for your back.

For the last several months, the only way I can read the Homestead Board, is to go to eBay home page, log out, then choose Homestead, then PRT, then log in. This is the only thread that is gibing me these issues. Odd.
Hope everyone is doing well.
It is the early morel picking season here the the forest. I can not go roaming in the woods anymore because of my falling problems, but Ike is still picking. This was his haul from yesterday on the drying rack. He had a bad start, as after he had picked quite a few, he realized his mesh onion bag did not have a bottom and he had lost them all. His brother and wife will be back tonight to go picking tomorrow. They leave their big 5th wheel in out yard during this time. Our big 5th wheel is at Melanie's. Ike just moved it into her driveway and opened all three slides so she can clean everything out in time for camping season.
After trying all the different ways of preserving morels, we have decided that we like drying the best. We dry them on stacking sweater dryers that I pick up at garage sales and they dry quickly. To reconstitute them, you just put how ever many you need in hot water and they are ready in just a few minutes to cook. When early morels are done, the big common or white morels pop up. They can be as big as your hand!
I am church hunting. I called my old church today but the pastor was not in. I really love that church but somehow I never felt as if I were part of the in-group. I was there every week in the same seat, volunteered for quite a bit and when I left, no one ever even called to say they missed me and they knew my health was a problem at the time. So then I had hurt feelings on top of it. We have a lot of churches around here but I like contemporary music which only leaves two and the other one is a very small church whose pastor is the lady that owns the consignment shop. I really like her but she is originally from an Assembly of God church and I am not too sure of how they do things. They are always inviting me so maybe I will go there Sunday. I have been watching the live-streaming of Calvary Chapel in Las Vegas when I am able.
Blessings!

Lynn, Such beautiful flowers. Bless you in your search for the right church family.
Diane, I hope you have good luck with the shots for back pain. They only lasted about 2 weeks for me. I am taking 2 pain meds for my back and shoulder.
God bless each of you.

I am in much humility and thanking , my american english is still weak but God has found good work for me that pays fair wages for my labor. The men and ladies that ask God for me to find this work , THANK YOU .
I still don't know what I did to offend God but I am most open to him and wish to know what I did to offend, so I can correct my ways.
Peace and Joy unto you

MEMORIAL DAY
Please remember
It is the
VETERAN,
not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.
It is
the VETERAN,
not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press. It is the VETERAN,
not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
It is
the VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is
the VETERAN, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is
the VETERAN,
not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is still the
VETERAN who
salutes the Flag,
May God continue to bless us all

"And so I have become the wind, a reaper among the wheat. I am one of the many who have given until nothing remains of our humanity. I chose to walk the hardest path. The path of crimson wings and tearful eyes. I am the Veteran of all wars. WOE unto those who would harm my peoples, my family, my country for my life is already past and I am but a shell that serves the will of God ."

Lynn, Such a beautiful, sensitive tribute to the fallen in Oklahoma. Thank you for the beauty.
Through the years as I taught school, I remember the countless times we gathered our precious cargo and headed for the hallways. So much fear and uncertainty prevailed as I am sure it did yesterday.
Thomas, I am happy you have found work. Always know God hears and knows our every trouble and joy. Stay close to Our Father.
Hi Dear Roy, Thank you for the meaningful poem. You seem to always have the right thoughts and actions. I am happy to hear from you. God Bless you.
Carole, I thank God you had a wonderful time with your family. I know from years of experience how very much they are missed after a visit. Praying you are feeling well.
