@katzrul15 My hubby was out of work this time last year. He did some seasonal work for UPS. He got plenty of hours. Of course he got the route no one else wanted, but he was fine with it--it was a job, money coming in! My best to you.

DH has let go from the PO last week on his 87th day. They let 113 go that day (all 80 days to 89 days).

@katzrul15 slow and not yielding a lot of sales...pretty much like here, but any sales is better then none so i guess it's "OK"

Likely to be same for me, it is a temp position as they are not hiring perm...from what i was told for any position. Could be asked to stay on perm depending on facility in question and their needs but it's not likely. I already knew this anyways, when they contact you this time of year it's always the same, holiday hiring rush and the job ends first week of January...it's the same deal with other carriers usually as well (UPS/FedEx etc...) best bet for perm is driving but even there may not get perm offer. I wouldn't be surprised if many jobs have the same deal right now. Economy is too weary in many cases for many industries...others are looking for perm and pretty nice packages to go with it...USPS isn't one of them.

not that i spend time making stuff...i am a guy, but if you want a good and cheap "treat" here is a tip...
Applesauce + Graham Crackers
1. Box of Graham Crackers Rectangle (the ones that have perforations and can break into 4 smaller rectangles)
2. Lay 2 of those side by side on plate
3. Spead a generous amount of Applesauce on top - but not too much, not to little
4. Add another layer of Graham Crackers on top of that
5. Repeat step 3, then step 2, the step 3...repeat till all crackers are used
6. Once done you'll have a big square of graham crackers layered with applesauce between each layer
7. Take apple sauce and spread around all 4 sided. doing the same as did with between layers, not to much, just "finishing" it off.
8. Place in refrigerator for few hours

9. Take out and eat, this makes a Graham Cracker cake, when it's been in fridge awhile the applesauce turns the crackers moist and it's like a cake. It's very inexpensive to do take few min of time and tastes pretty **bleep** good.
