BUY NOW or AUCTION?

Hey guys, I've been wondering how you all decide whether to post your cards as BUY IT NOW or go the AUCTION route?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

BUY NOW or AUCTION?

Hello Rising Star!  With Buy It Now you could RESEARCH on E-Bay if the ITEM has SOLD and for HOW MUCH.  Also, perhaps a Beckett Guide for a GENERAL STANDARD PRICE. You could then target a REALISTIC PRICE you think it would SELL FOR. If it's a SERIAL #D ITEM . . . . . a #1 of something is ALWAYS MORE INTERESTING as well as say a #25 of #25 because of the UNIQUENESS.

With AUCTIONING an ITEM . . . sometimes you GARNER a BONANZA from a number of BIDDERS.  It doesn't always happen, but has the possibility.  BE CAUTIOUS and PREPARED however for the OCCASIONAL BOMB on BIDDING for an ITEM.  It can finish MUCH LOWER than you anticipated.  NO PERFECT SCIENCE on listing ITEMS for the RIGHT PRICE.  As YOU move through E-Bay the experience you gather will provide a GREAT BASE for knowing HOW to PRICE ACCURATELY.  Good Luck!

BUY NOW or AUCTION?

Another more recent development has occurred that may factor into your decision.  Beginning on 3/18 all Fixed Price listings must GTC.  You can no longer select your desired duration time.  When the 30 days is up, GREEDBAY automatically relists it and slaps you with insertion fees, unless you happen to still have some free listings available.  Currently, it appears, the only way around this revenue producing scam is to end your listings on the 29th, or 30th day.  That is if you remember to go in and end them early.  This is a complete B. S. move, on the part of GREEDBAY, to squeeze more $$ out of sellers.
