Just thought someone might be interested. The 3 nests are about a 1/4 mile from my house. They're nothing more that 3 tall posts from an old baseball field down at the waterfront.
Geese come - usually lay, hatch and raise their brood BEFORE the Osprey return from their migration. Not this year. Nest 1 (empty but with lots of goose feathers) looks like brood did not hatch after 70 days. Nest 3 goose just layed 5 eggs 10 days ago - late...
Enter return of Osprey, nest 2 right in the middle. There's going to be a war in the next day or two....
