Can anybody tell me if this napkin ring is sterling?

Hi I do not see any Sterling hallmarks or any make or marks at all but this test as Sterling can anybody help me identify it? Thanks

JMHO. doesn't touch me as silver. evt. silverplated pewter or white metal.

depending on the testing device you could have a wrong result because of the oxidation layer. I'd start with cleaning a small area so the original surface is seen and test again.
