Hi
I'm a seller, a lot of times I buy a shipping label, doesn't matter which shipper, for instance I buy the label for
say $14.85, It ships buyer get's it all ok, other then ebay charging me another $16.12 for shipping the item, funny thing is I work for a major shipper, I researched if the shipper received the extra $16.12 that ebay claimed it cost to ship, THE ANSWER WAS NO

So let's collect 10% on shipping, then collect on what you think it should cost to ship on top of it, WOW,

If you were charged a second time for additional shipping charges, those came from the carrier. You may see eBay in your account but they are simply a platform for sellers and buyers to come together. Only the actual shipper will assess if you underestimated your package or used a flat rate label for a box that wasn't flat rate. There are many reasons why a carrier will come back afterwards to recoup money, but that issue is between you and the carrier. You can always appeal any of these decisions, but again with the carrier. Best of luck to you....

Whoever you asked at where you work either doesn't have access to that information or doesn't know where to look. Those charges are accessed by the shipper.
I don't know what shipper you work for but here is usps information on their program that does this.

Here is ups information on how to avoid shipping charge corrections

Fed ex also does shipping charge corrections for underpaid labels.
