seller changing shipping conditions

seller wants to change the shipping of a pair of shoes from envelop to box. shouldn't the seller have made that choice when posting the item?  now wants extra money to ship in box.  when i tried to reply to their message an error came up saying the message is invalid or more than 90 days old. sounds fishy.  any suggestions?

Make sure you're signed in to the correct account when replying to the message.

The seller is in the wrong. They're responsible for their mistake and you don't have to give them any more money.

Less than 90 days after you order the item, you can get a refund.
The seller is incorrect and must provide accurate shipping details regarding the item.
Contact the eBay help section and they will give you the correct answer.
Thank you
