eBay is making progress in helping and protecting sellers .There is still a lot more to be done.One of the most concerning aspect is,when buyers are expressing dissatisfaction with an item,without taking steps to return it.This usually becomes a express or understood request for partial refund.Many times unwarranted.This situation is quite common and sellers are negotiating under duress, implicit threat for negative feedback.eBay can resolve this very easy and fast.
1-The buyer is not happy with the item,makes an official return request.The seller returns the item.The procedure is excellent when used.The buyer should not be aloud to give negative feedback..(this to be decided by eBay)
2-The buyer is not happy,but does not want to return the item,even when the seller agreed or suggested this.This gives the buyer an unjustified position of dealing with extra power,knowing that he or she is the only one who can give a negative fb.In this case eBay should suspend the right for feedbacks for both parties, so they can negotiate equally.The seller can accept or not the amount of the refund with one counter offer only.If there is no agreement,the buyer has to return the item for full refund #1.No feedbacks are given.Just a few weeks ago,one of my buyers,requested a refund,did not want to return the item at my request, asked for a $45.00 refund on a $65.00 sale.This is ludacris and was nothing wrong with the item!On top of that she was Private member.It happens to often, to be ignored by ebay,when there is an easy and logical solution. The only thing left is to have this procedure inserted on returns rules and activated. Sellers would not be bulied anymore and sell with confidence.
