When you open a claim through PayPal, you are responsible for return shipping.

If you had opened the claim on eBay, the seller would've been responsible.

DO NOT CLOSE YOUR CASE WITH PAYPAL AND OPEN AN EBAY ONE NOW.

Since a PP case was opened, you can longer open an eBay one.  eBay will close it automatically and you will have no recourse at all.

I would be on the phone with PayPal about that return to China instead of Germany.  I don't know about the UK PayPal terms and if they are different than US ones and if the seller is in their right to require shipping to any return address they submit in the claim.  You may want to ask on the UK boards or the PayPal board.  You may have to foot the return shipping bill.

File a SNAD. Not a return. Start with ebay, if you're past your 30 day grace period, move over to PayPal. Hopefully you used your Personal Credit Card to make the purchase, if so go directly to them. File a CHARGEBACK.  Both ebay and PayPal show preference for Chinese sellers. Your personal CC isn't under and delusions, Nor beholdent to fraudulent merchants.

OP filed with PayPal so he can’t file with eBay.......he should follow through with the PayPal dispute.
