international Global Shipping program

Hi all 🙂

This is my first post!

Can I say this is my first introduction to the Global Shipping Program although a member of eBay for many years now and so far I hate it.

So I got the initial tracking #. And with great difficulty actually found a site that would recognise it. Why are we not informed of how to use it?! Anyways that’s not my real issue.

The tracking page then makes you open another page which told me that my parcel had been transferred to local carrier on the25th of November and yet when I go to the An Post website it is not recognised.

so I called and they say that tracking number is pre advised which I know means they haven’t received it yet.

so where the hell is it and is there any number email I contact to ask this question? Defo should not have taken longer than 1 week to arrive from UK to Ireland.

Thanks in advance for your help

You shouldn't have had to go to a different site. You should be able to look at the tracking info by clicking on the tracking number in your ebay purchase history.  Once the item has been transferred to your local carrier it does seem more difficult to get that information.  It's been a while since I've ordered anything from the gsp but it seems to me that in my case the gsp information said that the package was transferred to Canada Post. I then clicked on the words Canada Post (though it wasn't an obvious link) and I was given the CP tracking number.  I don't know if that will help or not.

As far as not taking longer than a week...it has to go from the seller's location to a depot in the UK and then on to you so it often takes longer than the usual delivery time.
