My local post office tells me they can't scan more than 5 packages at a time. So if I bring in 30 packages I need to go to the end of the line and go through the process 6 times. Anyone else have a similar experience? When I leave or drop my packages without a scan I end up with around 5% of my packages without any scans at all.
Thus I have to refund my buyers and I receive negative feedback.

Do you know about using a scan sheet for multiple packages?

My USPS post office in San Francisco will tell you the same thing.
You are holding up the line for customers who just want to buy a stamp or a money order.
I see sellers come in with a lot of packages and I just decide to return the next day...but I shouldn't have to.
I have seen people with 30 packages to be weighed and have postage to be put on those packages.
You shouldn't wait until you have 30 packages just to scan.
Have some compassion for other customers.

You need to use a SCAN SHEET. After you have printed all of your labels, you will see "create a scan sheet". Do this, print it out and it is one scan for as many packages as you have. They will not turn it down!

Scan sheet will only be generated if you’re printing labels in bulk. If printing one at a time a scan sheet will not generate.

Thank you for that information. Is it very difficult to print labels in bulk vs individually?
Never had that concern when I was selling because my sales were never more than a few in a week or so.

If items weigh the same and dimensions are the same then it shouldn’t be difficult.
However, in order not to get packages and labels mixed up I choose to print labels individually.
My post office never has an issue scanning more than 5 packages. Could be because I live in a vary rural area where the post offices I go to are seldom busy.

Actually, you can print labels all day and then do a scan sheet at the end of the day.

It is not difficult at all. Each package is shown in list form and then you check the info re: size and weight on each one. When you have verified them all you purchase them and then after you can generate a scan sheet.

Buy a stamp.

If the post office where you normally do business has a 24 hour kiosk in the lobby, you can do all your scanning right there, with NO limits on the number of packages -- and you can scan your packages at ANY hour which is convenient for YOU, seven days a week.
And, if your normal post office does NOT have a 24 hour kiosk in the lobby, shop around -- there may be another one just a little bit further away. The savings that you make in avoiding the hassle at the counter of your regular post office will compensate for driving the additional distance.
Good luck.

You are incorrect… When you buy and print labels individually you can’t print a scan sheet unless you’re using bulk shipping. I don’t use bulk shipping so I can’t generate a scan sheet. I just printed 4 separate labels…I go the bulk shipping tool to see if I could generate a scan sheet this is what I see….

I haven't given a package to the person at the counter in years. I dump them in the bin and I suggest you do the same.
The time wasted at the counter and in line on a daily basis will long term absolutely dwarf any possible benefit you get by getting that scan right then and there. Even if it is 10 minutes a day, that is 2500 minutes a year if you don't ship on weekends. You just burned an entire week's worth of work that year doing that. Did it prevent a weeks income worth of problems? I doubt it.

Compassion? Those other customers can get a money order at the bank, they can buy a stamp at the grocery store or if they have a stamp machine like my post office, they can use that. I don't understand your statement to have some compassion for other customers. What about compassion for OP needing to get those scans? Some of my packages won't fit in the kiosk drop and even if it does, I'm not sure it's an official acceptance scan for eBay purposes. Why are the other customers that may only be buying a stamp or a money order more important than the one that has made 30 purchases of US postage?
I wish we could do individual shipping labels and then have them all on a SCAN sheet, but that is not an option that I see available on eBay. I have a need for the individual Online Label Record that prints with the individual labels, the bulk labels don't work out for me.
We have watched USPS counter staff create a box for a customer so they could ship something. Most of the scans would take less time than that event took.

Are you not able to schedule a pickup for your packages and speak to your carrier about how important it is to have them scanned? I have a rural carrier and he is THE BEST, he can only scan 5 at a time and then he has to "start it again" and he does, he scans 3 or 30, he does them all.
