can't open a retun.

I bought an item that arrived SNAD and I tried to open a return. but I get this error

"We're sorry there's a problem with this purchase. Unfortunately, PayPal reports that we can't open a return for this item. You can try to work out this problem by contacting the seller."

I looked into the error and it would seem to happen when you opened a case on paypal, but I never did such, So I called paypal and they said the problem was on ebay and to call ebay. I did a live chat with a rep ebay  via the mobile app and they said the problem was on paypal ends.

Any one know were to go from here?

I tried to get ahold of the seller but he never replyed. that was 3 days ago.

did you try a return or did you try opening a "not as described " case...

i believe there is a slight difference.... you can return for a variety of reasons, but a case opened for not a described....is different.... hopefully leading to the same result...

so maybe i'm confused( no need to say yes) , but maybe there is another way....

I tryed to open a case via paypal and it says a case can not be opened at this time.

when I called Paypal  they told me that is becuse there is a open ebay case. but there is  no open case on ebay for the item.

There is no difference when the official reason selected is classified as SNAD. It's all the same. It starts out as a return request and becomes a case when eBay is asked to step in. 

OP is the seller still a registered user?

Is your eBay account in good standing? Sometimes, if a buyer has an excessive amount of returns or violations, they can lose their MBG privileges. 

I'm not saying that is what happened, I'm saying this could be why you are having issues.

Well I opened a few retunts the other day. Not SNAD cases but i still cant open a case for the one item.

Well Both ebay and payapl were no help, seller would not say a word, so I sold the item to atlest get a little of my money back.

You may very well have been removed from the mbg and return programs.
