I placed an order on eBay, and a few hours later when shipping updated it showed ZNLOGIC Tracking. I had never heard of them, but found out the Seller was likely an Amazon drop shipper and ZNLOGIC Shipping had lots of complaints from customers over Lost/Stolen packages. The next day my husband spotted something brown stuck on the utility pole out by the street and it turned out to be my package. I can't think of any reason why they didn't put it in the mailbox or on the front porch. Hours have now passed, and ZNLOGIC Tracking still shows my package at their distribution center 35+ miles away.

There is a law ... only USPS employees (or the mailbox owner) are allowed access to a mailbox.

Political campaign literature, store sales circulars, business cards, etc, are stuffed into my mailbox all the time, placed there by individuals & not delivered by the post office.
Would that be a USC criminal offense ?

Are you able to find contact information for this company and lodge a complaint with them?
It might be useful for some future buyer who doesn't understand that he should check local utility poles if his item is not on his porch.

I called the phone number thats on the ZNLOGIC web page (714)696-6180, and got a brief message that gives customers the web address for the internet tracking link (There was no voicemail option). I left a message at the eMail address on their web page (support@zinc.io), but never got a response. They apparently do not provide customer service other than the unreliable information thats provided by their tracking link.
I tried contacting Amazon's customer service, but that apparently requires opening an account with them.
This is what I have learned- (1) eBay Buyer Protection does not cover a package once it obtains a "Delivered" status, (2) The Seller is under no obligation to reimburse you once it has a "Delivered" status, (3) Paypal will not protect you once a package has a "Delivered" status, (4) It's not considered "Theft" if the Carrier leaves it on the public right away and someone takes it, (5) eBay doesn't have any rules against Sellers using Alternative/Unreliable Shipping Methods, (6) Sellers are not required to be transparent or honest with Buyers prior to sale as to what Shipping Method they use.

1) correction: eBay does not cover you for Item Not Received (INR) once the package is marked delivered. Your eBay buyer protection (Money Back Guarantee) is still in place if the item is damaged or not as described.
2) Not for INR, no they don't have to reimburse, however if the package is left in a non-secure location I would be going after ZNLogic and complaining to eBay about the service.
3) Not for INR.
4) Yes it is, it's still theft, but hard to prosecute.
5) The requirement is to have online tracking and ZNLogic does.
6) You can report the seller if you paid for a specific service and they did not use it. Otherwise see #5.

Yes Grumpy, I was referring to inappropriately delivered packages... ZNLOGIC does not respond to email and the phone # is a pre-recorded message that directs you back to the tracking link (No Voicemail). This company obviously doesn't want to communicate with its customers. The tracking information was inaccurate since the package was discovered a full 16 hours before it updated it to delivered status. The time/date stamp for delivery on their tracking link was totally faked, not just a delay in updating. Again - Beware ZNLOGIC or any Seller who uses Amazon because they may be using this shady service (Or one just like it).
