Would you be angry?

I'm looking for a shaving brush for my x boyfriend.  I compare brushes and prices.  I see the same photo being used by different sellers for the one I like.   I see most showing only one brush in the main photo and also inside the description with prices as low as 4 something.  Then I see one with two brushes shown in the main photo and also two shown inside the description for 6 something  ... so naturally I'm thinking I'm getting two for almost the price of one.  Well ... I only got one.  So I checked out the whole ad and way at the bottom it said I'd get one ... but even if I had seen that in the first place ... with having seen two brushes shown throughout I would have thought I was getting one group of two as shown in the photos.  Am I totally wrong about feeling cheated?

2015mhfashions that isn't the same thing. He says ONE screw both in the headline and plainly in the short easy to see and find it description. Now to continue responding to responses on my post.

I have been buying and selling on eBay for many years, and yes I know about reading the descriptions, and I do 99% of the time but when I saw two items shown on both the front page and on the inside ... plus others that were only showing one of that exact same product ... and there's nothing in the title about the one I chose only being sold singly... I went for it. And like I said ... even if I saw the 1 x shaving brush at the bottom ... not only was there a difference in it with it say 1 x fashion shaving brush but the 1 x fashion part was in red, so with that and the two shown in the photos ... I would still have thought I was getting the lot of two.

Anyway .... if the seller was purposely doing that to trick people ... it tricked me and I'm not only kicking myself in the pants for falling for it, but also his butt for doing it. Fortunately .... after explaining it to the seller that it was deceiving he instantly gave me a few bucks back. Whether he changes it is doubtful. Thanks to those who understood and agreed with my frustration on this.

As far as not finding it at Wally World ... I don't know how far my X actually looked, and can only go by what he told me. He doesn't use the soap that is usually is used with this brush ... he just puts his leftover slivers of bars of soap in a cup and creates a lather like that.

I'm not sure shaving brushes are in very much demand these days.  There may not be that many manufactures and thus not a wide variety of them available.

I think I've seen them at Wally World. but frankly, I usually only use them for cleaning & oiling my firearms.

Making a purchase based on pictures  can lead to disappointments.  Many sellers have variable listings as well especially in brushes.  Pictures don't always show the exact item so that's why you need to read the listing description.

I know that aren't used very much anymore. My X looked for them in Wally World but he said they didn't know what he was talking about. He doesn't like the shaving cream ... he said this is how he uses up his little left over pieces of soap.

Anyway ... I'm talking about the way the ad was presented and my only getting one brush when I thought I was going to get two.

Like I said ... even if I read it ... by what was shown in the photos it led me to believe I was going to get two. .. and I would have thought the same by reading the whole description. So I was just disappointed with the outcome.

No you are not unreasonable.  Tell the seller what you just told us.

I recently read his feedback and others have tried to get a hold of him for other matters and he never answers their questions. I'd like to return it and get the one for 4 something but the shipping would probably cost more than the item. Grrrrr.

To answer your question:  No I would not be angry.  I would be disappointed and would think it was dishonest.  I'd say something to the seller.  If I think he is a scammer, I'd file a not as described and make him take it back.  It is not a lot of money.  But sellers need to not deceive people.

I'm not looking at the ad, though.  It may be that if I saw it, I would feel differently.   It's just that I have seen listings that were deceptive in their presentation.  Yes you must read the fine print.  But when a seller makes it difficult, it is usually because they are being deceptive.  There are lots of tricks.  One that used to irritate me was when they would put a paragraph in tiny print at the bottom that included a bunch of keywords not actually applicable to the listing, but that would cause their listing to show up in my keyword searches.  Drove me crazy.

Since there are other complaints, say something to him.  If he will refund you the difference, you don't have to return it.  If he won't, file a not as described and the return shipping will be on him.  He needs to stop doing that.  It's confusing.

Yeah, more disappointed and I think it dishonest. But like I said ... he seems to blow people off. I don't want to have to go through the trouble of returning it ... then too, the x is picking it up tomorrow. He has his heart set on it and I don't want to disappoint him. I was just wondering what others would feel about this.... and yes I did try to contact the seller but doubt I'll hear from him.

Once again I will add something...

Sellers do make mistakes.  So try to assume it was a mistake on his part.  That doesn't mean you have to accept it.  The listing was not clear.  He needs to learn his lesson whether it was on purpose or by mistake.  How he responds will help you decide what kind of feedback to give him.

Good luck with it.  I hope it all turns out to your satisfaction.

I've sent him a note. Doubt I'll hear from him though. I might just tell Ebay about him.

Actually ... he has more than one ad with the same info. I don't think it was a mistake.

I'm really surprised. I just heard from the seller and he's offered a $2 refund. I said ok and also mentioned that it was suggested that I mention that to keep from confusing other buyers that he should only show one brush instead of two. Thanks for yall's input.

Angry?

because you did not read the entire description before you purchased?

Hopefully, you will read description before your next purchase!  Don’t rely on photos.
