Why is my USPS package stuck at JFK Airport?

As the title says. The item is stuck a JFK without further notice. It has been shipped on 27/09 and it reached JFK at 05/10. And there's no update at all ever since. What should I do? I want the item. Here's the tracking number: UA926484654US

DATE & TIME STATUS OF ITEM LOCATION October 5, 2017, 3:54 am Arrived NEW YORK, UNITED STATES Your item arrived at an origin transfer airport in JOHN F KENNEDY INTL, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES on October 5, 2017 at 3:54 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination.

USPS says it's out of their hands once it's in the airport possession and the JFK can't track packages.

I know no one can tell me why, only time can tell but if someone had a similar experience they sure can help.

I would think that the answer to this question should come from USPS .

Your issue is with the carrier. Contact them and find out what is going on with your package.

If it's shipping out of the US, tracking might not be available after it left JFK.

When is the package due to arrive?

Just a thought -- Was your package possibly being shipped to a country outside the United States?  If so, it may no longer be tracked by USPS after it hops aboard a plane.

And, as others have suggested, you should be contacting the USPS branch at JFK Airport.

USPS claims the package left the US but it didn't say that in the tracking status. Look up my tracking number

USPS tracking says The item is currently in transit to the destination.

Don't know who it's going through once it left the US.

Did you package ever release since that time, did you find it. 

was anything send abroad which was not allowed where they confiscated the item without even informing you.
