Why is an item marked shipped, when seller creates a label...

Why is an item marked shipped, when the seller creates a label, when in fact it may not be in the hands of the  post office or UPS for days. Sometimes many days.

 

An item is shipped,  when it is in the physical hands of the PO or UPS.

 

Ebay should clarify this.

Not sure where you've been but this is a regular topic on these boards and ebay is NOT going to change anything. They consider the item shipped when the seller prints a label. They see nothing wrong with their practice of telling the buyer "your item has shipped" as soon as the label is printed. We've begged and pleaded with them for years and they aren't going to change their ways.

Agreed. Shipped should be bifurcated into "label created" and "on it's way" or something like that.

you can click on the tracking number to tell you if it has been shipped.

most sellers do ship same or next day.

those who do not could be dropshipping.
