Hi,
I have a customer from Canada interested in buying an item, but he's concerned about whether eBay international standard shipping charges brokerage if yes, so how much? To be honest, I don't know about it. Can anyone please help me with that. Thanks
P.s, I'll be shipping an item from the U.S

UPS and Fedex will charge around $60 brokage fee for importation processing in past. I do not know if they still charge now. Canada post used to charge $5 brokage fee. I do not know who handle international standard shipping. anyway shipping to canada, you should not let the package touch by UPS and Fedex.

Thanks, quanyou7 for your response, I have heard about FedEx and ups but I was asking about eBay international standard shipping. Do they charge the same fee as ups and FedEx does or they're cheaper. Could you please suggest to me to whom to ask this question because I have a customer waiting on a response.

International standard delivery isn’t a carrier, they process the packages in the US and then send it out of the country using various carriers so it isn’t possible to give you a definite answer. I know that in some cases packages are delivered by Canada Post and if they are over a certain dollar amount they may or may not be assessed duty and/or tax plus a $ 10 processing fee.
How much is the item?

stamps.com offers a new program where you can prepay duties and taxes for 1st Class packages international to Canada for a flat rate of $6.95. This appears to be real good deal for Canadian First Class Package International (FCPIS) customers. Read about it here https://stamps.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/6065/~/introducing-canada-ddp-%28delivered-duty-...
I don't know if any other service offers it. You should get the eBay free stamps.com program anyway as it has many other excellent features. Do not get the one that you have to pay $15.00 a month for.
