A customer bought two bandanas from me. He said that the color shade did not match the photo, so he has opened returns on both. The details information says that he should send them back by July 6 (which I take to mean that they should be in the mail by July 6) but it is now July 12 and no tracking has been uploaded. The details information seems to indicate that I should just wait and not refund until I get the bandanas back but it does not suggest that there is anything else I should do.
Here's what concerns me:
Was there something else I should have done? Like contact the buyer.
Was I supposed to send him a label? The message I got didn't say so.
If I just wait until 30 days elapses, will I get dinged for a case closed with out a resolution?
I have automatic returns agreed for situations like this but it states in my listing that the buyer pays returns. But I understand that doesn't necessarily apply with a SNAD.
I know that this is really elementary stuff but I've been very lucky (and I know it) because I have had to deal with maybe 4 or 5 returns in the past 6 years, so I have very little idea of what I should do and I want to get it right.
A little help, please.

Was this a SNAD? If so, there would have been a message to send a return label. If you ignored that eBay would have either issued the label themselves or just issued a refund and given you a defect. Check your PayPal. Also check the Resolution Center and your Seller Dashboard. At any rate, do not issue a refund until you get your item back.
For future reference, color differences are not a legitimate SNAD reason.

Thank you so much!
I just assumed it was SNAD because it was a Return (that shows how little I know about this!) and because he said the color was different. The few times I've had returns it was for other reasons, so I'm glad to know that color isn't a major factor.
I never got a message about a label--that's surely something I wouldn't ignore; I don't want Defects if I can avoid them. And the Details information said only to wait for Return.
Checked the Resolution Center and there isn't a case, just a Return Request.
Thanks again. Now I can relax on this. It's really been worrying me even though it's a small matter.
