Hi all,
This is my first time using USPS to ship internationally through eBay. I followed the normal prompts and selected the Padded Flat Rate envelope option. When I printed the label I noticed it does not say Flat Rate nor Priority anywhere on the label. Unfortunately, my local post office has returned the package twice now because they said I cannot ship in a flat rate envelope. The postage is insufficient for a normal padded envelope, and I cannot void the shipment because it's been longer than 24 hours. What do I do?!

What does it say?
What country are you trying to ship to?

You can Void an eBay postage label up to 5 days after purchase, but only if it hasn't been scanned yet by USPS.

What DOES it say, for the intended service? BTW, international pricing is the same for all versions of Priority Mail flat-rate envelopes.

Did you perhaps put a First Class international or REGULAR (postage by weight) priority international label on a flat rate box? There are other priority mail boxes that are NOT flat rate. Try to use one of those. OR use First Class International up to 4 lbs. You still get tracking and it cost so much less than priority!

Note the difference in these two - one is regular PM the other is flat rate.

It looks more like a customs form and has the postage amount listed on the label. I am shipping from the US to Sweden.

What is the weight of the package? Int'l padded flat can only weigh 4 lbs or less.

A padded flat rate envelope is available for Sweden. The postage is $34.25. HOWEVER if it weighs less than about 3 pounds you will probably find that regular first class mail is cheaper. Over 3 pounds the FRE is worthwhile. But you have to select that option when you print the label.

How much was postage? I am wondering if you are using a first class 'flat' which can now only be used for documents, not merchandise. You would have to use a package service.
