USPS tracking says they weren’t allowed access to eBay’s authentication facility

I have an order of sneakers which are going to be authenticated by eBay’s partners, they've stated on their site that the facility where they authenticate items is located in Las Vegas, NV.

USPS tracking shows the message stated in the subject line above; that they weren’t  allowed access to delivery location (authentication facility), somewhere in Las Vegas, NV. eBay in app tracking still shows “in transit to authenticator”. 

Anybody deal with this situation before with their order being authenticated? who should I contact, and what could be the possible reasoning behind this? Any help would be appreciated

Could be that the facility was closed because USPS showed up before or after business hours started. Give it another day, it'll probably get delivered there tomorrow. At this stage it's too soon to worry about anything.

Shipment will most likely get returned to the sender. I dropped using USPS to authenticators as this seems to be a widespread problem. Been shipping UPS mainly.

Authentication facility is a business facility that's not open to USPS delivery after business hour or on the weekend. That's when you'll get this tracking status.

authentication does have a cost it is a waste of time just like the ups mail transfer.

I recently had a package sent to the Las Vegas eBay Authentication professional building on 9/2/22. It showed they delivered to the Sneaker Con Las Vegas PO Box. I opened a case with USPS and with eBay. USPS in Las Vegas is saying it's been delivered to their professional building. The eBay has not uploaded my package in their system and it's been 4 days. Contact ebay a d ask to speak with the Authentication department. Make notes. Also open investigation with USPS. I have proof my item was delivered to their building. You can request a USPS delivery log and they'll email it to you. Please keep us posted.

For your situation the possible reason behind any delay could be the holiday.

That soon? It was delivered on the Friday before a three-day weekend.

Yep it took like a day or two—usps attempted delivery again and this time eBay received it and I eventually got my package in a timely manner

My package says delivered to las vagas authentication dept. But never got chked in. And was sighn by h. Henderson. Wich eBay has no idea whom that is.    I pretty much got robbed and scammed seems like.
