I checked on a shipment this morning and tracking showed it "Arrived at unit" yesterday but there is no delivery confirmation ... I know there have been some late delivery issues with USPS lately but this is a bit confusing.

Arrival at unit does not mean it was delivered to the cudtomer. To me it means that it is in the next shipping facility.

Usually arrival at unit means it has arrived at the final post office destination. Next it should be out for delivery,

It got to the post office of the buyer yesterday in the afternoon - 1:06 PM, delivery sorting is done in the early early morning so it should be 'out for delivery' today.

This might help:

07
Arrival at Unit
Indicates the mailpiece was scanned at the final postal unit where delivery of the mailpiece will occur.
There should be 2 or 3 more scans after the 07 Arrival at Unit -- Sorting Complete, Out for Delivery, Delivered. If being sent to a PO Box, there will be no "out for delivery" ... just Delivere.d to PO Box

Does your buyer have open an Item Not Received case?
If no, stop looking after those parcels.

Missed scans are common. I have had many packages that just "show up" scanned at some point along the way.

I find that going to the USPS website to check tracking is more accurate and up to date.
I've had a few items where ebay tracking shows "out for delivery" but never scanned as "delivered."
Yet USPS shows as delivered on (date, time, zip).
