Hello,
USPS claims a package was delivered in their tracking, and is still claiming it was delivered after an "investigation" which wasn't, because I was home at the delivery time and it was snowing so there were no footprints to the porch for either a delivery person or a thief to have been there. First snowprints were mine going up and down the sidewalk seeing if they delivered it to the wrong house. What can EBay do for the seller and buyer if USPS is basically committing fraud claiming they delivered a package they never did? Is there any recourse? Or is one of us just out the money?

Probably got delivered to the wrong house. Check with neighbors, make a post on community Facebook page. Good luck getting USPS to admit to it

Yeah, when it happened I went out, saw nothing there, fresh layer of snow so I know no one came and stole it, so I went like 5 houses in every direction and didn't see it on anyone's porch. I was the only footprints on the sidewalk too. Had it happen before so we waited a few days to see if they delivered it or listed it at post office, but nothing, so seller filed a search, never got back to him, till I called and had it accelerated (even though they claimed they already messaged him), and then after two weeks finally responded with -
"Please be advised tracking and your local post office confirmed item was delivered correctly. Carrier also went back out to check cdu boxes and there were no packages. At this time if you did not receive your item please contact the sender in regards."
But they don't give any "confirmation" out, it's just trust us. I was wondering if EBay did anything in those situations, or if it was just "your problem, good luck."

@m-wolverine If USPS says it was delivered to your address then it is considered delivered.

So it's basically fight with the post office thieves.

Get the GPS coordinates from the post office. Each address has a specfic gps coordinates. if the delivery coordinates are different from your gps coordinated, they delivered to the wrong address.

But the gps is just where they scanned the package, not where they delivered it. And if they took it they could have scanned it anywhere.

And if they took it they could have scanned it anywhere. Anywhere is not going to be your address unless they scanned it at your address.

If you're going to steal something you don't scan it in another town and say it was delivered there; you scan it in the truck at the site and then drive off with it without delivering it. It's not like the box has GPS in it. And they're not Amazon, they don't take picture on the porch, or scan it on the porch. They do all that in the truck.
