Hello, I had a package that was undeliverable due to a full community postal locker.
I received an orange notice to schedule redelivery.
January 3, 2022, 3:29 pm
Notice Left (No Secure Location Available)
Next day, tracking shows this:
January 4, 2022, 9:17 am
Moved, Left no Address
Literally one minute later, the USPS tracking changed to:
January 4, 2022, 9:18 am
Return to Sender Processed
The return on your item was processed on January 4, 2022 at 9:18 am
What? I didn't have a chance to go pick up the item or schedule redelivery and it is already sent back? Who told them to Return to Sender?
Any one which experience know if there is a chance in heck of getting this package sent to me?
PS I have lived at this address for 6 years and have not have recently moved. I still have the orange ticket ("notice left") from the post office, so it is not like another resident received the orange ticket and said "Moved" and didn't notice the address was wrong.

This is one of the few remaining protections that we sellers have left. eBay considers all delivery failures to be the buyer's fault, e.g. Return to sender, Address unknown, No such number, No such zone, We had a quarrel, A lover's spat, etc.
Whenever this happens, the buyer is no longer covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee, and the seller is allowed to keep the buyer's payment, plus the item when it is delivered undelivered back.
However, eBay is keenly aware that they don't rule the world, threatening:
So if the seller foolishly keeps the money, the buyer can just take it all back in one step, and the seller
- loses eBay fees,
- earns a career-ending defect,
- and if the seller had eBay Managed Payments for them, also pays a $20 dispute fine.

I'm a mail carrier. Call your delivering PO and ask about it. This could not have happened without additional scans and scanners are signed out so they can see what the scanning states and who scanned it. If it was removed from the office then it is up to them to recall the package, but most likely it is just some sort of glitch and the package is waiting for pickup.

Update.
I went to the post office Friday (1/7/2022) with my orange slip in-hand.
There were 2 packages listed as part of this orange slip.
One package was located but were unable to locate the second one.
I explained to the agent what the tracking number was reading (Moved, Left No Address / Return to Sender). The agent was extremely apologetic for the improper scans and said they were going to escalate this issue.
Saturday morning (1/8/2022) tracking shows - Arrival At Unit of the sellers location. Three hours later tracking reads: Mis-Shipped.
I presume I'll be receiving it in the next day or two.
I was not asking if the seller had to refund me. I was just wondering if I had any chance of actually receiving the package. This was not a large purchased but it does add to my collection.
Thanks everyone!
