I'm in NY, buyer is in TX, and eBay is offering to sell me a shipping label for a USPS Priority Mail Regional Rate Box A for $10.42.
1. Is regional rate really available for this cross-country shipment? It would be weird if eBay offered a shipment method that won't work between the two zip codes.
2. Can I get one of these boxes at my Post Office? FWIW my sales are very low-volume.

I have not found equivalent rates for international shipping.

I found the Poly Bags and checked
Envelope 18X18 inch. They called this .5 cubic feet. against .5 cubic foot box 12 x 12 x 6
I checked a 12 pound shipment to New York.
You are correct, that is a big price difference. $44.73 to $19.24
So anything that will fit in the envelope is ok to ship? It is not just for flat stuff?

And they will ship to you for free : )

Yes I put a box inside a envelope a lot and have never had a problem. Also, by using PS you can have the charges go to a credit card for your shipping labels. Thus earning frequent flyer points or cash back.

That is a good point. With this new payment management by eBay I am no longer earning the cash back for the shipping fees.

Hello,
Hope all is well and Happy New Year. You can get all of the Regional Rate A and B boxes on the usps.com website for free. They are great and save money. I am in Jersey and it’s a lot cheaper to send to the tri state are in addition to the New England states MD and Va. Good Luck

Regional-rate boxes can be sent to any ZIP Code. The farther it goes, the more it will save you in comparison to the regular weight-based postage.
