Tracking says shipping label was created on the 12th with no updates since.

I purchased an item on January 8th and the seller created a shipping label on the 12th. Since then the tracking has still only shown “Shipping label created, USPS awaiting item”. It is currently the 17th and the expected delivery is from the 18th to 22nd. I have contacted the seller and they said that they had shipped it and the tracking must be wrong. This is the first time this has happened to me and I’m not sure if I should believe them. Does anybody have any experience with this issue?

The last item that I shipped only got the scan by the carrier when picked up.  Had that not been done it would appear that I had not shipped the item.  It has no other scans along the way yet.

Your seller may have shipped. You can give it some more time. You have 30 days after the last estimated delivery date to open an "item not received" disputed to be refunded if you do not get the item purchased. Would be nice to give the seller the benefit of the doubt, and wait a few days to see if it updates..

My own experience lately is that scanning is getting sloppy. You have 30 days to file a complaint, I’d give it a speck of time.

Someone who’s old enough to remember when anything ordered took 6-8 weeks for delivery. 🤷‍♀️

P.S.  Amazon, fast food, movie downloads, Google at the fingertips,  Instacart,  and a host of other “instants” have spoiled us.

I ship out of Memphis and Memphis USPS is terrible about not scanning my packages!  I have had my packages not show up in tracking until it gets to the buyer's post office.  I keep up with tracking and if it isn't scanned after a few days I will message my buyer's to let them know what is going on.  I would give it a few more days.

@ausshep52 You have purchased an item on a platform that offers a money back guarantee, so you have nothing to worry about.  Once the last estimated date of delivery has passed just follow the procedures for an item not received case. Go to your purchase history and select the item. Mark it as item not received and follow the prompts. Most likely this will show up at the last moment and just hasn't been scanned during transit. I'm watching one now, shows picked up the 10th and left my P.O. and tracking stopped but it will probably pop up tomorrow somewhere on its way to Texas. The other four it went with all have proper tracking.

Give it time it should get there.

You mean like this?  I had three packages go out that day, all three were scanned at pickup. Two showed all the scans from pickup to delivery. This one didn't.

Yeah... the system is clearly stressed.  I have found unless it shipped Priority Mail.... well then you are left kinda hanging... shipped ? not shipped? refund now?  Refund later?... all made worse by Zero communication from the seller... uhg...  purchase made on 01/01/22, marked shipped 01/10/22... tracking says USPS is still "awaiting item"... expected delivery was 01/13/22... it is now 01/24/22... it was kind of a bulky item... so i have been waiting... but my patience is thinning... so I wait... and then request a refund.   Trying to give everyone the benefit of the doubt... an email from the seller would go a long way..
