Tracking and insurance?

I haven't sold anything on ebay in a few years. I went to set up an auction the other day and things seem to have changed. I see how to choose which delivery company I want to use but no way to add tracking and insurance. Is that automatically included now? or am I missing something? I know things that I've bought off eBay have tracking but how did they add it?

Tracking and insurance?

Tracking is now included automatically at no additional cost for all package services.

Insurance up to $100 is automatically included with most UPS and FedEx packages, and up to $50 for USPS Priority Mail. If you want to purchase more than that, you need to incorporate that cost into the asking price of your item, or into a handling fee.

OK, good on the tracking.

How do I purchase the extra insurance? Do I have to do that at the post office? Or is there a way to do it through ebay? I see no way to buy insurance through ebay.

Tracking and insurance?

It's on the label preparation form. You purchase it as part of purchasing postage.

Tracking and insurance?

Smart sellers don't buy insurance.

Tracking and insurance?

What is that supposed to mean?

Tracking and insurance?

It is EXTREMELY difficult and a very LONG process to ever get money back from the post office. Not worth it.

eBay offers "ShipCover" insurance in addition to the USPS insurance (ShipCover is the default insurance) ... eBay says that most claims are processed in 1 week.

That is because that poster has nothing else to say - been that way for centuries I would just ignore as we all have learned to.

Good luck with your items 🙂
