Why are we unable to choose first class shipping as our choice it isn't even showing up. I see a few other people are experiencing this issue as well.

Another workaround...

I'm relisting from App UNSOLD items. 1st class is there and it lists.

When I try to relist from Sold item 1st class is not there.

You can relist and then use all new info/pics/specs. If you need to save that listing before doing so use Sell similar and save it to drafts. Then when issue IS fixed you just list it from drafts.

Then go back to unsold listing (dont go to drafts) use Relist option and fire away a new listing. 1st class is there.

There are almost always different ways to keep it moving on ebay. Selling here for 20 yrs and there are many options.

It's not USPS. Its ebay totally. They made a Change as they often do and screwed it up.

I found another hack. See if this works for how you list.

List as parcel select for shipping. Then actually list it. Then go and revise and WOW 1st class option is now there!

I just purchased 3 first class package shipping labels on eBay for the 3 sales I had. These were from items that had already been listed. I pulled up a active listing and selected to sell similar and fist class package was the default shipping as the listing I selected sell similar had that shipping service selected. I then created a new listing from scratch and the service was available.

I meant SELL ONE LIKE THIS and I tried again using SELL ONE LIKE THIS using 1) one of my previous 1st class listings, 2) an active listing & 3) a sold listing. As soon as I change other things in the listing or save it as a draft, the input in the shipping section goes blank and the 1st class option is no longer available (& no matter what weight I input the Priority cost range doesn't change).

Anyone using a laptop doesn't need to reply. As far as I know, this is only an Ebay phone ap problem.

You are using all of which I did Not say to use.

Active won't work nor will relist from sold.

RELIST from UNSOLD. Save that unsold listing as a sell similar in drafts if needed so you dont have to make that listing again.

Then do Not go to drafts. Go to that same listing in unsold and use relists. Now change it all into a new listing.

For Sell one like this it has to be another sellers listing that has 1st class as an option.

OR I mentioned an easier option which should work. Make a listing but use parcel select. List it. Then go and revise it and now 1st class is there.

I only use the mobile app for updates and checking to see what sold. For listing it has way to many preset settings that usually can not be changed and cause too much problems a browser on a computer is much better to list and process orders.

I’ve tried all suggested workarounds (sell one like this, sell similar, re-listing from unsold, listing using parcel select and then trying to change), and still no option for First Class is showing for my 8 ounce item I’m trying to list. Very frustrating.

I just relisted a sold item on app. No issue with calculated 1st class shipping. I sold it less than 1 hour ago and relisted the exact same item as a test.

Are you on android or iphone?

I was using the app on my iPad. Unfortunately I don’t have a sold item similar enough to what I was trying to list. Every sold item remotely similar caused the delivery info to go to blank once I updated the category and no first class option available. After much trial and error, the only way I was able to get access to first class shipping was to get out of the app, go to native eBay from google and create a listing that way. Weirdly, although the listed item now shows first class, if I try to make any changes to the listing in the app, the delivery info goes back to blank and first class is once again no longer an option. In other words, I can’t list in the app at the moment if I want to ship first class.

First I'm on android. I see the 1st class shipping issues happening but not in every way to list on my app.

What's going on with iphone/iPad I cant help with. I did see someone mention using fixed price listings only seems to be ok.

I give up tho. I realize I'm much more advanced here (I'm being truthful after selling here for 20 yrs) and others do Not completely understand the ins and outs of ebay. There are tricks and hacks and I use them when ebay code isnt working.

To relist or even with sell similar you do Not have to have the items be anything near similar. You can have a baby clothing item and change it to sheets, hairspray to shoes. It doesn't matter. You just use it and then correct, revise, fix. Whatever is needed. It literally takes an extra minute vs doing a new listing. Simply be sure you fix title and specifics. Picture and description never carry over.

Sell similar will NOT work. You have to use sell one like this. That does Not come from your listings. It's another sellers listing. It's an ebay option right there in the app on every single US listing. That listing must have 1st class shipping. Your item does NOT need to be the same in any way. Its just a bit easier if it is. Also you must use UNSOLD.

Whatever is going on will get fixed by ebay. I cant explain anymore without visual examples and many screenshots and I'm not willing to do all that... Especially as its not an iphone I use.
