I sell mostly iron-on patches. This would be a perfect add-on category for the Standard Shipping Envelope options.
Is there a chance to gt eBay to add this option, or is there a way for me to print the labels for this category?

I too am in that business, and am thinking it will help our business by providing some tracking, albeit minimal.
I'm going to look around for the most effective contact and see if I can advocate for this .
One problem is patches appear in multiple categories, the SSE is category driven where its more black and white where those products fall.
The other problem I see, is SSE was poorly implemented , does not provide very good tracking, but something I guess is better than nothing.
Not much help, but I'm sure most patch sellers would like to get this service.

READ THE FINE PRINT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sell 35mm slides, photos and paper items. Ship them USPS 1st class. Stopped after a couple got lost in the mail and eBay made me issue full refunds because I didn't have tracking. Thought the new Standard Envelope w/ tracking would put me back in business. NO. Tried to print out labels for one 35mm photo listed in Contemporary Photo category. "SORRY Items in this category are not eligible for this shipping method". ONLY items listed in postcards, stamps and the other specific categories are allowed to be shipped this way. Typical eBay. Sounds good at first till you read the fine print. Just like their selling fee's sound good till you read the fine print and see they charge the fee's on everything including the state sales tax!

Why limit Ebay Standard Shipping To Categories? This just doesn't make sense. If it's less than 3oz, has a value less than $20 and fits in an envelope 6.215" x 11.5 x .25" it should ship Ebay Standard. That would make sense! Whatever, not even worth wasting time on the subject. It's about as productive Conversating with a brick wall.
